Album Info:Burlington Northern Santa Fe Red River Division Houston Subdivision MP165.0 - Flynn, TX 07 March 2018 - 18:30 CST I lost the race with a setting sun. NS 9255 "Operation Lifesaver" unit came strolling south on the Houston Sub this evening. I would have had a great golden hour shot of it, but just as I was getting into my truck, the crew called out an stop indication on the 167.6 signal (SSS Flynn). I heard the DS147 dispatcher give them permission to pass stop indication, but then held just south of it. Found out their track warrant limits ended at MP164 due to MOW work. I waited and watched as the sun dropped below the trees, then the horizon. Then a track warrant was issued and the train began heading south again. The last NS Operation Lifesaver locomotive I caught was sister NS 9253 was in Sandusky, OH in August 2005.
