Album Info:Canadian Pacific East Region Freight Subdivision CPF528 - Richmondville Siding (south siding switch) (from Brooker Hollow Road og) West Richmondville, New York, USA 29 May 2015 - 15:20 EDT CP 253 CP #8938 [GE ES44AC] CP #8807 [GE ES44AC] While chasing CP939 (NS205) south with the NS #1066 "New York Central" Heritage Unit leading (and sole unit), we took position on Brooker Hollow Road overgrade. As it turned out, CP931 was already there and because it exceeded the length of the Richmondville Siding, it held the main and about 20 cars remained on the main south of CPF558. Add this to CP253 arriving right behind it. Once CP939 climbed the "Richmondville Hill" (it struggled with a single unit), it would take the Richmondville Siding, allowing CP931 would proceed north with 253 right on its heels. © 2015 - Philip M.
